The style 3 was the first
of the Big and Baby Bens
designed
by Henry Dreyfuss.
It was manufactured from 1931
until 1934,
making it the shortest run of a
Big Ben style.
It was the first to use the Chime Alarm
movement,
although it did not say Chime Alarm on the
dial.
Considered by many collectors to
be the most desirable.

starts off slowly and then speeds up. The movement has
a soft ticking sound.
