1951 "Severn"
Alarm Clock
by
Seth Thomas
Stock No.VINT1150
It
was not widely known, but beginning in the 1930s, General Time
Corporation owned both Westclox and the Seth Thomas Clock
Company. During the 30s, 40s and 50s, the Seth Thomas
division produced a series of clocks in wooden cases that used a Westclox Baby Ben movement. These are popular clocks
among collectors of both Westclox and Seth Thomas. This
model was known as the "Severn". Solid wood case,
brass trim and perfect ivory dial. Soft
ticking sound. As with all Baby Bens of the time,
this has a loud/soft adjustment for the alarm.
This is a must for Westclox and Seth Thomas
collections alike.
